hmmm sorry folks for these 2 days... been missing. actually i'm busy working on my sister's stuffs..., i 've did some of the "name"( plan drawing before exact manuscript) and some changes on chars.. i'll be posting them on monday or tue. HK use to be the best place in the world

Since the city should be near the sea...i think HK is a very gd reference for it......this is the 70's photo of hk harbor......it look very amazing........but now........all these ads are put up onto the buildings........it become pretty commercial now....very crap.....

this one is the fifth series... and they did the right thing in choosing good char designer...

Oh i borrowed a super weird animation like FLCL called "ABENOBASHI MAHOU SHOUTENGAI" literally means "ABENOBASHI the magical shopping arcade" same studio from GAINAX and same crazy stories and same character designer of FLCL and Evangelion!! haha really funny!!

I just base on some MMDA people and developed some minor character....also i drew a darwin again....just becos i saw a cool photo of him...Hope darwin can be inspired by those drawings

How the island looks like?

Since Abe is a bit confuse with the style... i'll try to clearifly here... the city will be like the 60's 70's pop style where people are over using the material and technology...there are many sample of it already... and the island will be very simuliar with the style of sword of mana...which there's a big tree at the center of the big island and the tree will be surrounded by the village, and the root of the tree actually is the cable of that connects to all the houses and provide water and elericity to the people. Hopefully the tree will be something like this...

idea for drawing style

since your story is about the 2 sides, 1 that is old 70s without technology, and 1 that is more modern with technology, you could use 2 different drawing styles.

the modern 1 could be really clean, smooth and shiny; whilst the 70s 1 could be rough edged and matte

From that korean guy... i realise that cg talk is very gd way of promoting our story... when we have our character and some background done...we can put it on to cg talk to see if people like our characters or not... if we get the award and gd feedbacks quite sure it would help our whole thing...~!!!
and the second goal ofcos it's the proposal... i just have to connect the story line and write down the script...it would be pretty much done~

-for tallgeese, i make him look like charlie chaplin, and he always carry the scope
-for the big guy(TAMO) - he always has consider his hand is the strongest thing in the world.. he try to crush everything with his hand...
-for the small guy( shoft) - he always carry a BIG BIG travel bag...carry for everyone's stuffs... that's why once he can put them down.. he has the strenght to run as fast as he can
-for old guy... still in progress.. my design is based on Hayao Miyazaki + Osamu tezuka...

hmm this is my design of the girl.. i change her hair style a bit.. i think it suits her character more... the tatoo design is still not clear... still need some research. but my idea is to use butterfly and christianity symbol as the basic principle...

hmm this is just a reference for MARTO... not Manto(why i assume manto?...)
this is from animation called SPEED GRAPHER.. the story line is a bit for adult audience.. have some sex scenes in the animation... JB -HIFI rated it R18+

but anyway.. the main male character is quite similar with what we want.. hope so..
